Christina Rodriguez, Middle School Secretary

Christina Rodriguez’s journey to be on staff at The Potter’s House in time to celebrate its 30th anniversary actually began in 1986, when the school was only five years old. It was then that she and her husband first came from their native Puerto Rico to Grand Rapids to attend school at Reformed Bible College and Calvin College. That was when they met Carlos Tapanes, a fellow student at Calvin College, and his wife, Carla. No one knew then how important that introduction would be for the Rodriguez family.Read more
One Young Prayer Warrior
Every school day morning, seven young men sit in the school conference room and share with each other their spiritual struggles and victories in their walk. Often laughter can be heard coming from the room, but more often than not, there is a quiet stillness as the boys pray for each other, the faculty and staff, families, and the neighbors of The Potter’s House. One of the young men is 8th grade student, Gregory Rummelt. Read more
