Curriculum
The Potter’s House High School provides a rigorous and challenging college preparatory education with high expectations of all students; a strong foundation of knowledge and skills; emphasis on core academic subjects; incorporation of meaningful extracurricular activities; development of critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills; and support for the future educational needs of each student. Our educational program appreciates differences in students’ gifts and learning styles, employs a variety of instructional methods, requires active participation of all students, and emphasizes using and applying knowledge in order to impact their world for Christ.
We offer an integrated and holistic curriculum that demonstrates the inter-relatedness of God’s creation and emphasizes learning within contexts that are relevant to students’ experiences. Learning experiences are embedded within the context of the school, neighborhood, and Christian community, emphasizing positive relationships, service learning, and community involvement and modeling a life together that is just, caring, peaceable, and joyous.
Our Christ-centered curriculum and practice equip our students for a life of faith by modeling Christian maturity, building Christian character, enhancing biblical literacy, providing spiritual guidance, and fostering responsive and transforming discipleship.
