Starting middle school

Margo Lynde – going into Grade 6

Hi, I’m Margo Lynde. I am excited about going back to school because I just finished 5th grade and am eager to start middle school.

I’ve heard good things about the middle school teachers at the Potter’s House. When I go back to school, I will be happy to see some of my friends. What I like about the Potter’s House is that it is a Christ-centered school. The teachers are always leading children deeper into the Christian faith. I am glad to go to such a fine school and that I can have an excellent education. I am eagerly waiting to go to middle school at The Potter’s House so I can learn more.

Looking Forward

Rebekah Sisco, 3rd grader

I am looking forward to going back to school.

First, I’ll get to see all of my friends again. I’ve only hung out with a few at one birthday party this summer, and it will be good to see everyone again. Second, I am looking forward to my mom making “Sisco Bars” as a welcome back for my teachers. She always does that. Third, Miss DeBruin is one of my favorite teachers, and I’ll get to have her again this year.

Sometimes when I’ve been thinking about school this summer, I’ve been wondering what our new theme is going to be this year. I got to learn more about the Fruit of the Spirit on Sunday mornings and at our church’s worship arts camp the first week of August. That reminded me of school because the main drama was about a girl named Kelly going back to school. This put a little refreshment in my mind, thinking about The Potter’s House and getting excited for Family Worship, where we learn about a theme from the Bible together. I hope it’s going to be a great year!
